Music festivals are great for seeing bands and soaking up the atmosphere, they’re not so great for network coverage. Well that’s all about to change…
Glastonbury Festival’s official technology and communications partner EE, wanted to create the world’s first connected smart tent for the legendary threee day music and cultural festival. This digital oasis boasted the latest in custom-built ‘fest-tech’, including 4G network access, live-streams from all the main stages, proximity detection, homing beacon, Wi-Fi Hotspot, exclusive VR content, Smart Beverage Dispenser complete with concierge service, solar-powered climate control, music streaming and integrated voice-activated lighting, all housed in a futuristic geodesic dome. Following the design, build and installation, we were able to offer and tech-support services to keep everything running smoothly.
