Live data, aggregated from multiple social media platforms, presented instore, in real time, informing shoppers what products are currently trending online. What’s not to like!
Designworks collaborated with O2 Business on a pilot scheme to support UK business in an increasingly digital Britain. The historic town of St Helens and a 127 year old family owned department store were to be the venue for a world first ~ a Digital Clothes Rail fit for the Post-Millennial generation.
The concept was simple, the challenges significant; creating the first live-feed Digital Clothes Rail in the world was never going to be simple. Tracking, acquiring, processing and delivering coherent data from multiple platforms for an immersive instore experience was going to demand some slick interfacing between our software, hardware and creative teams.
The Digital Clothes Rail has garnered much interest from retailers, marketing agencies and technologists alike and we’re delighted to announce that it has recently won the Internet of Things Global Award 2018 for Retail, Marketing and Hospitality – great work team!
