Music festivals are amazing fun. Unfortunately, to enjoy the music, atmosphere and partying, you have to endure the rain, mud and lack of phone reception. Well that’s all about to change thanks to the EE 4G Smart Tent showcasing the ‘Internet of Things’ and Virtual Reality tech at Glastonbury Festival.

Here are some classic festival scenarios which our fab smart tent has the answer for: Helping festival goers party longer and harder than ever before.

“I’ve been dancing all day in the sun and I am boiling!” - Sun? In England? Are you sure? Well luckily the smart tent contains a connected fridge which will Tweet the concierge when stocks are running low, and has more fans than the headline act!

“I’ve been dancing all day in the rain and mud and I am soaked.” – (Far more likely!) Get those wet wellies off and dry them off in the solar powered boot-warmer. Whilst you wait, why not make yourself a brew with the solar powered kettle.

“I can’t find my tent.” – you’ll be able to find your way back thanks to a ‘connected’ beacon on top of the tent, which will illuminate and pulse, guiding you home after a day (and night) watching your fav acts.

“I’m tired and can’t walk all the way to the main stage.” – No problem! Put your feet up and watch live streams and thumping sounds from 6 stages across the 900-acre festival site.

“I’m worried about leaving valuables in my tent. The zip might not be enough to deter thieves.” – There’s a load of tech in the smart tent and we’re not worried thanks to the security camera inside the tent which will live stream via an app to the camper’s phone.

“I never have any 4G reception at festivals.” – The tech tent will be pumping out the most powerful 4G hotspot that EE have ever installed, to help create “the ultimate connected camping experience”.

“How do I get to stay in this amazing smart tent?” – Good question. EE will select one lucky Glastonbury-goer who'll get to stay in the tent and enjoy it in all its hi-tech glory. The telecoms giant is running a Twitter competition for one festival-goer and a friend to stay in the tent - for one night only!
